BOTH, NEITHER AND EVERYTHING

BOTH, NEITHER AND EVERYTHING

The concept of intersectionality—complex and multi-dimensional—is reflected in both the form and content of this zine. This piece recounts my personal experiences, using childhood photos to tell my story. The layered nature of intersectionality is shown through the stacked page format, overlapping type, and the recurring concentric O’s—each circle representing intersecting aspects of identity. Eight different types of paper and laser cutting techniques were also used to physically reinforce this idea of depth and interconnectedness throughout the piece.
